WHERE TO GO?
The best answer to that question is “WHERE GOD SENDS YOU. or TO WHOM GOD SENDS YOU.” God’s desire is that all people have access to the Good News. Jesus even said that the end of the age will not occur until the gospel has been preached to all nations. So the question for the 21st Century believer is, “Which peoples of the world remain unreached?” An exploration of the following websites might be a good starting point for you and your church to be introduced to the Unreached Peoples of our world.
The Joshua Project (www.joshuaproject.net) Joshua Project is a research initiative seeking to highlight the ethnic people groups of the world with the least followers of Christ. The mission of Joshua Project is to help bring definition to the unfinished task of the Great Commission by identifying and highlighting the people groups of the world that have the least exposure to the Gospel and the least Christian presence in their midst. Joshua Project's heartbeat is "to spread a passion for the supremacy of GOD in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ".
Strategy Leader Resource Kit (www.strategyleader.org/upglinks.html) Compilation of resources on unreached people groups.
People Groups (www.peoplegroups.org/downloads.aspx) Unreached Peoples resource page.
Pray Way Global Prayer Community (www.prayway.com/unreached/main/index_p.html) PrayWay exists to serve the ecumenical body of Christ as an online venue for prayer requests to be received, and for Christians to minister to others through interactive prayer.
HOW TO GO?
GCPN is committed to equipping believers for cross-cultural service within the context of local church. If you want to share Christ in a distant context, you must first be equipped to live out the Gospel in your own community. That is why GCPN recommends a minimum of one year of training prior to being sent by your church. The key elements of our process are:
BY WHAT MEANS DO I GO?
GCPN desires to assist you in exploring the various networks of teams and potential partners working among the people to whom you are called. Understanding what God is already doing among your people group is an important foundation that should be established prior to determining what you and your church will do. There may be avenues of entry into the culture that already exist. Or perhaps God wants you to establish something new. Whatever you do, God wants you to be an extension of your church among the people you serve.
GCPN encourages churches to give cooperatively to assist one another in the sending process. Churches within the GCPN network should attempt to raise support within the context of the local body for those who are being sent into cross-cultural settings. However, network churches unable to supply all of the necessary resources may appeal to GCPN for completion of required funds as available. See GCPN’s Giving page for more details.
